This need for space has created an extensive and widespread demand for the conversion of basement areas into dry usable rooms.  Clearly, the most critical issue in the conversion of basement areas is the requirement for an effective, efficient and long-lasting waterproofing system. With more severe flooding and the presence of rising groundwater levels in recent years previously dry basements have become prone to seepage of water.

Cannon Clarke has many years experience in providing Basement Waterproofing services and is a member of the British Structural Waterproofing Association.

In the majority of cases we offer an advanced Cavity Drainage Basement Waterproofing system.  Such a system requires the covering of all wall and floor surfaces with a membrane which provides a waterproof and vapour-proof layer. This is often combined with a drainage system, usually in the form of peripheral sub floor drainage channels with a sump and pump to dispose of surplus water. After Waterproofing membranes have been applied and replastered as necessary, the walls and floors of the affected areas will be suitable for decoration to the highest standards.

We constantly review the basement waterproofing systems available to ensure that only the best products are presented to our customers. We are currently recommending the use of the Delta range of cavity drainage membrane systems  (for which we are a Registered Installer) although we may consider other products in specific situations.
